Bhavana is a current female superstar in the Malayalam movie industry. She came into the prominence through her powerful performance in her debut film “Nimmal” in 2002.
Born on 6th June, 1986, Bhavana has appeared in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films. Her most successful movies are “Vishnuwardhana”, “Veyyil”, “Jackie” and “Ivide”. Along with Shriya Saran and Nithya Menen, Bhavana is the rock star of the South Indian Cinema.Bhavana was born as Krithika Menon in Thrissur, Kerala. Her father, Late G. Balachandran was an assistant cinematographer and her mother, Pushpa is a homemaker. She grew up with her elder brother, Jayadev and attended Holy Family Convent Girls High School in her hometown.
Karthika Menon, better known by her stage name Bhavana, is an Indian film actress who appears in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu Kannada films. She made her acting debut in Kamals Nammal which won her critical acclaim and various honours. She is the winner of two Kerala State Film Awards.The film was a big success and she got several offers in Malayalam. She won many honours and Kerala State Special Jury Award for the same film. Bhavana was a 11th class student when she got her break in films. She has acted with almost all actors of Malyalam including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram and Dileep. Her first released Tamil film Chithiram Pesuthadi with Malayali Actor Narain was a great success and after this successful movie she has got many offers in Tamil and currently doing many projects with famous Tamil actors like Ajith Kumar, Madhavan, Jayam Ravi, Bharath and Srikanth. Offlate, Bhavana has been seen doing a lot of glamourous roles particularly in Tamil and Telugu.
