As the new chair of Miss America she has taken a decision to end the swimsuit round, something which has always been termed as sexist and misogynist by observers. Speaking on the show Good Morning America, Grethen Carlson said, “We will no longer judge our candidates on their outward physical appearance. That’s huge. And that means we will no longer have a swimsuit competition.”

She was the presenter of The Real Story With Gretchen Carson on Fox News which ended abruptly due to sexual misconduct from the chairman of Fox Roger Ailes. She posted on her Twitter page that her show was cancelled because she didn’t entertain the sexual advances from Fox Chairman. The lawsuit was settled for $20 Million.
