Vicky Kaushal was born on 16th May 1988 in Punjab ( India ) and brought up in Mumbai ( Maharashtra, India ) to Shyam Kaushal ( Bollywood director and Stunt coordinator). His father worked in many films like “Slumdog Millionaire”, “3 Idiots” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”. His brother Sunny Kaushal is also associated with Bollywood film industry and been an assistant to the director for movie “Gunday” . He also worked as an assistant director trainee for the film “My friend Pinto”. Before the film “Masaan”, he also worked for films like “Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana”, “Bombay Velvet” and “Geek Out” ( short film ) as were seen in some minor roles. While doing these films he was also doing theatres with the groups of Naseeruddin Shah and Manav Kaul. He also assisted Anurag Kashyap on making of “Gangs of Wasseypur”. As far as his educations are concerned, he is holding an engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications.
Vicky Kaushal is a rising Indian film actor who made his entry into Bollywood with the film named “Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana” in the year 2012 and recently seen in the award-winning film “Masaan” as released on 24th of July 2015. “Masaan” has portrayed the story of a low caste boy in love with higher caste girl which managed to earn two prestigious awards at Cannes Film Festival this year in 2015. He was last seen on the movie Raman Raghav released in the year 2016.
