Nithya Ram was born July 23 , 1990 is an Indian television and film actress who works in Kannada cinema. She began her career as an actress in Kannada television soap operas. She is the elder sister of actress Rachita Ram.[2] As of 2017, she is currently playing one of the main leads in the mega hit show Nandhini.Nithya Ram is an Indian actress, who is working in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu television industry. She was born on 1st February 1990 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Nithya made her acting debut in the Kannada television serial “Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu”. She also acted with well known actors like Sanjeev, Madhu Sagar, Ramesh Pandit, Vijayakumar and Narasimha Raju. She has appeared in some well known television serials such as Aval, Karpoorada Gombe, Rajkumar and Eradu Kanasu. Her performances in many films were lauded especially in “Muddu Manase” which was one of the Best films of the year 2015. She worked with some of the top names of that time like Nithya in “Muddu Manase” along with Aru Gowda, Aishwarya Nag and Achyuth Kumar. Nithya currently doing the leading role in Nandini serial along with Rahul Ravi in Sun TV and Amma Naa Kodala serial along with Nalini in Zee Telugu.
Nithya Ram comes from a family of artistes with her father K. S. Ramu and sister Rachita Ram being classical dancers themselves, and the latter has since appeared in films. Nithya is a trained classical dancer from Welight Academy as well. She holds a graduate degree in biotechnology and worked for some time, but her “dream of becoming a heroine never died.
Nithya started her career as an actress with a Kannada television soap opera Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu, which aired on Zee Kannada, that co-starred her sister as well. She went on to appear in other Kannada soaps such as Karpoorada Gombe, Rajkumar and Eradu Kanasu.Following this, she worked in two Tamil soaps. She had been signed for a film opposite Diganth, which however failed to take off. In 2014, she was signed to play a lead role in Muddu Manase opposite Aru Gowda. Around the time, she signed to her first soap opera in Telugu, Amma Naa Kodala.
