Ali Fazal was born on October 15, 1986 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. He belongs to a non-filmy family. He has completed his schooling from Doon School, Dehradun. He is an economics graduate from St. Xaviers, Mumbai.
Ali Fazal is an Indian film actor known for his roles in Bollywood. He started his acting career by appearing in television commercials before entering into movies. Fazal got recognition through his role of “Joy Lobo” in the super-hit movie 3 Idiots. Later, played the lead role in ‘Fukrey’ and Khamoshiyan. He was also seen in cameo appearance in hollywood flick Fast and Furious 7. He was seen in bollywood movie Happy Bhaag Jayegi.
Ali started his career with TV commercials such as Pizza Hut, LG, Micromax Mobile and Cadbury Silk. While performing a stage show, director Rajkumar Hirani noticed Ali and signed him for 3 Idiots. After that Ali got a major break-through since he acted alongside superstars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor and was noted by all. Subsequently, he was picked up by Shahrukh’s production-house Red Chillies Entertainment for the star role in Always Kabhi Kabhi and was paired opposite female lead Giselli Monteiro. Although he made his Bollywood debut in 2008 in ‘The Other End of the Line’ as Vij.
