Amrita Puri is an Indian actress popular in bollywood industry.was born on 20 August 1983 in Mumbai, India. She is the daughter of Aditya Puri, Managing Director of HDFC Bank. She did her schooling from Bombay Scottish School and St Xavier’s College. She has completed her post graduation in mass communications and also did a stint in an ad agency. She did her first ad for Kotex and later featured in ads and TV commercials for several brands including People First, Garnier and L’Oreal. She did some theatre apart from modelling in her early days. After auditioning for few films, she finally landed with the role of Shefali Thakur in Aisha.She made her debut on television with Anurag Basu’s “Stories by Rabindranath Tagore” which aired on EPIC channel.
