Cameron Bancroft is an Australian cricketer who has been in eye of ball tampering controversy in the South African and sparked off allegations of cheating. Cameron Bancroft was involved during the 3rd Test against South Africa where he is seen rubbing a substance on the ball. The interesting part is 12th man Peter Handscomb had a walkie talkie with him and he was sitting near the ropes while coach Darren Lehmann was watching the coverage on television.
Ball Tampering Controversy
As soon as television spotted Cameron bancroft we see Darren Lehmann communicating something on his walkie talkie and we see Peter handscomb signal out something to Cameron Bancroft. He then removes from his pocket what looks like a chewing gum that Bancroft used to rub on the ball to get Reverse Swing.
On the indication from his team mate Cameron Bancroft puts that chewing gum into his crotch and when the umpires come and ask him about what he was doing he says that he just has a black cloth and nothing more. The Australians looked disturbed on being caught on the television but Cameron Bancroft was not charged for Ball tampering yet.
