Sehmat Khan was the undercover Kashmiri spy whose real life story inspired makers of movie Raazi. It is an inspirational story of patriotism and we see Alia Bhatt in lead role. Sehmat Khan is not the real name os the Kashmiri spy as her name was changed by writer Harinder Sikka on whose book, Calling Sehmat the movie is based.

She was married away by her father, a rich businessman to a Pakistani army man so that she can get information for the Indian Government. The writer, Harinder Sikka is still amazed at the commitment and risk taken by Sehmat and her family for India. He still wonders how much they have had to sacrifice?

Sehmat Khan gave Indian government the most vital piece of information about INS Virat which helped the Government to save the navy vessel from any attacks. Sehmat Khan has passed away but her sacrifice will be remembered for years to come.

The movie stars Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and is directed by Meghna Gulzar
