Her place of birth is Ranchi which is in the Jharkhand state of India, she was born as well as brought up in the same city.Anjana finished her college from the Daulat Ram College and later for her graduation as well as higher studies, she joined Jamia Millia Islamia college.After that she did a journalism course from Jamia Milia Islamia. She started her journalism career with Zee News where she had worked for about five years. Later she joined News 24. It was at News 24 where she had become a national fame with the popular show – Do Tuk. Aaj Tak offered her a senior position which she couldn’t reject.She fell in love with her classmate in Daulat Ram College.At 23, she married her college boyfriend. They are blessed with two children. A 13-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.
