Aruna Budda Reddy is an elite gymnast representing India since 2013. She defied all odds to become the first Indian medalist at the World Gymnastics event in Melbourne in 2018. Its a proud moment for Aruna Budda Reddy and for India. She scored 13.699 in her two attempts. This was one of the most challenging event for Aruna Reddy who lost her father and guiding light in 2010. Mr. Budda Narayana Reddy is the reason why we see Aruna Budda Reddy as a gymnast in front of us.
It was his father’s encouragement that got her into gymnastics and when she lost him in 2010 she struggled with life. Aruna Budda Reddy hopes this medal will be the right motivator for her to kickstart her career.
