Rajeswari Yanger was the mother of Bollywood Queen Sridevi. Rajeswari Yanger was born in Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh and she was influential in bringing Sridevi into the magical world of movies. Sridevi followed her mother’s advice since the beginning of her career when she was a child artist. After her timely death her co-actors have recalled that Sridevi would never cut a scene untill her mother approves of it. Sridevi’s career was managed by her mother Rajeswai Yanger who controlled was known to be a very strong lady.
When Boney kapoor first approached Sridevi to sign his film Mr.India she asked him to speak with her mother. Rajeswari Yanger said that Sridevi is the highest paying actor in Bollywood and will charge Rs.10 Lakhs for the movie. Boney Kapoor said he cannot pay this amount and gave her Rs. 11 Lakhs.
Rajeswari Yanger was diagnosed with Brain Tumour. This was the most difficult time for Sridevi. She had stopped all her shootings and took her mother for surgery in New York. Her mother sadly lost her life due to negligence from the doctors.
