Ayyapan Yanger was the father of Bollywood Queen Sridevi. While her mother was influential in her career without her father we may never have had Sridevi in movies. Sridevi father, Ayyapan Yanger was a lawyer by profession and he often took little Sridevi along with him to his functions. One day he had to attend a huge function and he took Sridevi along with him. South cinema’s director who was about to start his movie spotted little Sridevi and said he would like to cast the girl in his movie.
Ayyapan Yanger and his wife Rajeswari Yanger agreed and then began Sridevi acting career in tamil and telugu movies. At just 12 years old directors wanted to cast Sridevi in their films for lead heroine roles. She didnt know the expressions of romance then. Tamil directors asked Ayyapan Yanger and Rajeswari Yanger to show their daughter some good romantic films by which she can learn acting skills.
Sridevi was more attached and influenced by her mother Rajeswari Yanger and her father stayed away from the limelight. We almost never saw heard of him while Sridevi mother took the center stage.
