Raghu Ram was born on 15 April 1973 in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was raised in Delhi, along with his twin brother Rajiv Laxman. The brothers studied at the Woodstock School in Landour, Uttarakhand. They later attended the University of Delhi, Deshbandhu College and Sri Venkateswara College. In the final year, they joined Osmania University in Hyderabad where they completed their graduation.
Raghu Ram Ambadapudi is a senior supervising producer at MTV India. He started supervising MTV India shows like MTV Love Line with Malaika Arora Khan and Cyrus Broacha, video jockeys (VJ)s and also lead MTV Select. His idea of MTV Roadies was accepted as an experimental project by MTV in 2000 and the series debuted in 2003. Raghu Ram wrote his autobiography titled Rearview: My Roadies Journey, published in 2013. He has launched a web-series titled A.I.SHA – My Virtual Girlfriend, a webcam fiction show through the online content platform Arre in April 2016.
Raghu and Rajiv are back on television with yet another reality show. The concept of the show, titled India’s Best Judwa, is about twins, who will be given a platform to showcase their connection. Raghu and Rajiv will produce the show under their banner Monozygotic Solutions Pvt Ltd. Karanvir Bohra will host the series. The show will premiere on Zee TV.
