Samir Soni was born on 29 September 1970 in London, UK. He belongs to a Hindu family. He completed his schooling at St. Xavier’s School, Delhi. He has done his graduation in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Before starting career in modeling in India, he was an investment banker in New York. He has also attended acting courses in New York and Los Angeles.
Samir Soni is a former model, an Indain film and television actor. He made his acting debut with the serial “Samandar” in 1995. After proving his talent in many Tv shows, he turned to Bollywood. In the 1998, he starred in the movie “China Gate” alongwith eleven other protagonists. He played the lead role in the serial “Parichay – Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka” for which he won the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor, Boroplus Gold Award for Best Actor (Jury), ITA Award for Best Actor – Drama (Popular) and others in 2012.
As per the latet reports, Samir Soni will be making his comeback to television with an upcoming Vikram Bhatt show. He will be seen playing a role of a rich businessman. The show is said to be based on a Turkish show, ‘Ask-i-Memnu’ and will apparently be portraying a love story between an older guy with a relatively younger girl.
