Minissha Lamba was born on 18 January 1985 to S. Kewal Lamba and Manju Lamba in Haryana, India. She belongs to a Punjabi family. She has done her schooling at Chettinad Vidyashram School, Chennai for a year. Later, she studied English honors at Miranda House, Delhi University. She wanted to make her career in journalism, but fate has written something else for her.

Minissha Lamba is an Indian actress who works in Bollywood movies. She made her Bollywood debut with director Shoojit Sircar’s movie Yahaan in 2005. She has also worked in notable films like Honeymoon Travels, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Well Done Abba and Bheja Fry 2. She was seen as one of the contestants in the controversial television series Bigg Boss season 8.
